Workshop on Human Rights held in Haa Dhaal Atoll is one of a series of workshops held for the Atoll Chief, Island Chiefs, Magistrates, Senior Police Officers, Senior MNDF Officers, Senior personnel of Womenan's Development Committees with the aim of increasing awareness on Human Rights and on the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives.

Human Rights Workshop for NGOs of Meemu, Faafu and Dhaalu Atolls

This workshop which was conducted in Muli of Meemu atoll was focused on raising human rights awareness among local non- governmental organizations working in Meemu, Faafu and Dhaalu atolls so that they would in turn be able to conduct their own trainings for their own communities.

A total number of 30 participants attended the two day workshop.

This workshop was facilitated by Commission members and staff with assistance from two local NGOs.

Human Rights Workshop for NGOs of Haa Alif and Haa Dhaalu Atolls

The Human Rights Education workshop for the NGOs working to promote human rights in Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu was held in Haa Alifu Dhidhdhoo. This workshop which was conducted from 31st August to 1st September 2007.

It was attended by 28 participants and was facilitated by Commission members and some NGO representatives.

Human Rights Workshop for NGOs of Thaa and Laamu Atolls

The workshop held in Fonadhoo, Laamu Atoll was attended by thirty participants from non-governmental organizations working for human rights in Thaa and Laamu atolls.

This workshop was facilitated by Commission members and staff with additional support from an NGO which participated in the Training of Trainers workshop.
