HRCM conducts training session for Prison Officers

The Education and Media Department of Human Rights Commission of Maldives conducted a training session for Prison officers of K.Maafushi Prison functioning under the Department of Penitentiary and Rehabilitaion Services on 13 July 2008.

The sessions were part of the Entry Level Training Programme carried out for 20 new recruits and 25 officers already employed at the Maafushi Jail.

The purpose of this session was to create Human Rights awareness among the Officers as well as to educate them about the roles of HRCM and its functions.

The sessions were facilitated by commission member Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Kareem and Staff of Education and Media Department.
