UN fact finding mission meets HRCM

United Nations Inter-Agency fact finding mission on the forthcoming Elections in the Maldives (DPA/UNDP/UNRC) visiting the Maldives from 4-8 May, has met the President, Members and Secretary General of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).

The meeting was held at the new premises of the HRCM at 1300 hrs on 6th May.

The UN mission is visiting Maldives at the request of the Government of Maldives to assess the present political climate, including the enabling environment and technical aspects of the forthcoming first multi-party elections of the country.
