Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) has today launched its toll-free number “1424”. The number was officially launched by HRCM President Ahmed Saleem at a function held at the commission office. The number will be staffed and available from morning 08:00 till 12:00 at night. The main objective of introducing this number is to provide an easier and faster way to report human rights violations.

Any case of human rights violations, or an administrative code which is believed to be infringing human rights or a case where a government authority or a private organization violates a human right can be reported to HRCM via this number.

Complaints can also be made through fax, email, letter, telephone, or by filling in a complaints form available on the HRCM website.
